DIETARY STUDY INVOLVING POTATOES
EVALUATING INSULIN SENSITIVITY, RELATED METABOLIC MARKERS, HUNGER AND SATIETY
MB Clinical Research is looking for generally healthy male and female volunteers 18 to 74 years of age for a research study looking at the effects of eating different types of carbohydrates in overweight adults at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
What is my time commitment to the study?
You will be asked to visit our clinic on 5 occasions over approximately 2 weeks. The study visits will last approximately 3 to 6 hours depending on the visit.
Is there a study stipend?
There is no cost for participation in this study. All study foods, tests and procedures are no cost and we do not bill insurance. For your participation, you will receive up to $325.
You may be able to participate if you are:
1. 18 to 74 years of age
2. In generally good health and overweight
3. Willing to maintain usual diet and activity patterns throughout the study
Note that other entry criteria will apply and can be discussed with our study staff. Lab values, blood pressure and weight measurements will be verified at your first clinic visit.
